VETERINARY LASER THERAPY

We are happy to announce a brand new and exciting addition to our veterinary medical treatment options. Lums Pond Animal Hospital now offers veterinary laser therapy for your pets. Laser light is used to stimulate cells in order to promote healing from within.

Laser therapy can be used in all species no matter what kind of pet you own. The use of laser light results in reduced inflammation, assists in the acceleration of tissue repair, wound healing, reduced fibrous tissue formation, and improved nerve function.

Common uses for laser therapy include both acute and chronic problems such as trauma, post tooth extraction, skin wounds, post spay and neuter healing, chronic ear infections, ear hematomas, disc disease and arthritis. It can also be used to stimulate acupuncture points. Veterinary laser treatment is safe, convenient and tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

Laser therapy is a new type of therapeutic laser that can provide remarkable relief from chronic pain. During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.
